Our Amazing Team.
I am originally from a small town in Nebraska. I grew up on a farm and that is what laid the foundation for my passion for animals. My wife and I moved to the Lake area in February of 2023. We are currently expanding our family and couldn’t be more excited! I have four fur-babies, 2 dogs and 2 cats. In my free time I enjoy spending my time outdoors either fishing or just enjoying the water.
Hi! My name is Jessica Wallace. I was born in Des Moines, Iowa but moved to the lake when I was 3 years old. After graduating high school in 2001, I worked as a waitress for 15 years. I decided to change my career path after taking in an extremely scared stray dog. I completed a program to become a certified veterinary assistant in June of 2015 & started working at Lake Hils in September 2015. I am blessed to have one of the puppies from the first litter my stray had. That puppy is now 10 years old and the love of my life. I feel very fortunate to enjoy coming to work every day and helping animals any way I can.

I worked in the vet field for about 9 years. I have a husband and 2 wonderful little boys, Harlan and Cainan. We have a golden retriever named Duncan and 2 cats, Nora &Nemo. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family and enjoy the outdoors. I am so grateful to be able to continue working in the field that I love!
My name is Jordan Russell. I have been with Lake Hills Veterinary Clinic since 2017. I love my job here and being a part of a team that strives to do our best to care for our clients and their beloved fur babies. I grew up with a lot of animals and have always been passionate about going into the veterinary field. At age 13, I started working on a horse ranch learning the ropes training and caring for them. I worked there for five years while I volunteered at animal shelters and veterinary clinics gaining experience to one day work with animals as a career. At 16, I started working officially around the Lake area while continuing my work with horses. I worked at Dogwood animal shelter for a year before I landed my dream job at Lake Hills Veterinary Clinic. I am 24 now and happily married to my husband, Casey. We have five fur babies together, four cats, Louise, Gem, Morty, and Nemo, and a Lab, Sammy, who are our world.
Dr. Joann Kunz grew up in Minnesota and worked as a veterinary technician for several years prior to attending veterinary school. She graduated from Ross University in 2005 after completing her clinical year at the University of Missouri. She was invited on as a clinical instructor at Mizzou immediately after graduating. She taught veterinary students for 2 years before going into private practice. In 2010, Dr. Kunz became certified in veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida. This was the start of her passion for alternative medicine. In 2014 she returned to the University of Missouri to help establish the spay and neuter rotation for 4th-year veterinary students, where she enjoyed teaching surgery and traveling around Missouri assisting many animal shelters. In January of 2017, she purchased Lake Hills Veterinary Clinic. When she is not caring for her patients at the clinic, you will find her spending time with her husband and two children on their farm.
My name is Anna and I grew up in the South Chicago suburbs. I started off working in rescue before moving on to work in the veterinary field for about ten years now. I have worked in multiple positions such as reception, pharmacy, and inventory, to even being a veterinary assistant. I have three beautiful pets of my own; y two boys Zeus and DJ, who are both American Pitbull Terriers, and my gorgeous Stella, who is a Boxer/Pitbull mix (pictured). I’ve grown to love this field and could not picture my life not working in VetMed. Working with animals has been my life’s passion. Since I was a young girl I always knew I’d want a career not only in this field but a career helping those that don’t have a voice for themselves. I’ve recently moved to Missouri and found a family with my fellow coworkers here at Lake Hills Veterinary Clinic. I could not have asked to work with a better team! I truly look forward to continuing helping the community and their fur babies.
Dr. Nolan graduated from the University of Missouri in 2018. She initially went into mixed animal practice before choosing to focus solely on small animal medicine. Dr. Nolan’s professional interests include dermatology, comprehensive preventative care and open communication with pet owners. Although a St. Louis native, Dr. Nolan has lived in Boonville for the last 4 years with her husband, 2 dogs, 4 cats and pet axolotl.
My name is Nancy and veterinary medicine has been my passion since high school. Over the last decade, I have served in every role in the hospital, from kennel to manager. My bachelor’s degree in Management came from Mizzou (MIZ!). Besides working in practice, I spent several years as a veterinary pharmaceutical sales representative. I joined the Lake Hills team full-time in January 2021after providing practice management consulting there for 18 months. The best part of my job is working with doctors and staff interested in growing, learning, and exceeding their potential. The team at Lake Hills is exceptional. Outside of work, my husband and I spend time on our farm with cattle, chickens, a treeing walker coonhound, and a cat. I have three young adult sons who are busy finishing college and high school.
